Ford Announce Withdrawal Of Multi-Disk Changer In Focus

Ford have announced that they will no longer equip one of their most popular models, the Ford Focus with a multi disc CD changer.

Ford have made the decision to get rid of the CD player even though it was once a hugely sought after feature, taking into consideration the down turn in sales of CD’s in favour of digital downloads, leading them to believe that the feature is no longer required.

In car entertainment is progressing exponentially and there are numbers of new and exciting technologies on the market. The fact that ninety eight percent of single sales are downloaded digitally proves that Ford are venturing down the right path.
Ford are however, continuing to manufacture cars with a single slot CD player, whilst the demand remains. Although they do believe that all digital in car entertainment systems will soon be in high demand.

When looking into the sales figures at Ford it has been realised that ninety five percent of the people that brought the all-new Focus requested for the car to come with an auxiliary jack to enable them to connect a portable audio device, as well as a fitted USB Port, which now comes as standard.

In 2012 Ford are due to roll out SYNC in a large amount of models. This will be designed to gear towards technologically aware consumers and gadget lovers. It will allow customers the use of an SD card slot, RCA inputs and Bluetooth connection as well as multiple USB ports. This will aid the buyers to connect mobile broadband dongles thus creating services available on the go with Apple iCloud, Amazon cloud Drive and Google Music.
