Thousands of Britain’s motorists have been voting and now the top 50 repair garages have been announced for the G0lden Garages award.In April, the overall winner will be announced from the garages that would have made the shortlist for the Golden Garage Award.
To narrow down these garages, the 50 top garages will be split into regions throughout the UK and to do this motorists are required to vote again. The winner for this will be chosen from a group of motor experts which will also include What Car? Editor Steve Fowler, plus Mike Brewer who is well known from the television programme Wheeler Dealers.
Following on from the competition in 2010, the prize has doubled to the amount of £12,000, which is going to be rewarded to the garage that is proved to be the best;giving professional service, providing the best work and undoubtedly the best customer service. A family-run business won the prize last year, which was then awarded to Kinghams of Croydon.
This competition provides UK motorists to see where the best garages are in their areas, who will provide a great repair and service that they can rely on.
In last year’s competition, more than 9,000 drivers voted to search for the best garages in the UK. This has enabled motorists to relax about finding a trustworthy garage within their area and knowing they are been provided with good service.
From this, the good garages will get the business they should, as underlined by Mr Fowler:
“The good quys will get the publicity and new business they deserve and, most importantly, customers will get good service and peace of mind”.
