The Driffield Post and Driffield Times have presented their Garage of the Year award to Ellis Brothers of Driffield.
Thanks to favourable votes from the public, Martin and Mark Ellis, have been given the much coveted accolade after fighting off stiff local competition from other Driffield based garages.
The well established business was originally run by the brothers’ uncle, Chris Ellis, until they established ownership in May 2009. After taking over the day to day running of the George Street garage almost 2 years ago the brothers are pleased with the recognition of their efforts and it starts the New Year off on a high putting everyone in a good mood.
21 year old mechanic Adam Pether completes the team of three who offer vehicle repairs, servicing and MOT’s.
Friends and family of the pair were acknowledged for being behind them in their endeavours, and Martin commented that they are encouraged that their flexibility and hard work have received recognition from the local community.
Often going the extra mile when people are looking to get on the road by staying after normal hours, the brothers thanked everyone for their support over the last two years and expressed their gratitude at the continued support of their loyal customers.
Local Businesses also supplied prizes consisting of a Sunday meal for two at the Middleton on the Wolds based Robin Hood pub, up to thirty pounds worth of car valeting from G Williamson Garages, and Buffers Restaurant in Driffield gave a main course each for two people. The prizes were awarded in a free prize draw in conjunction with the Garage of the Year competition.
