Toilet ‘Break’ For Runaway Car

Ormund and Miriam Robin were woken by a horrific bang late last Saturday night, and came down to find a car embedded in their house!

The car, a blue Vauxhall Astra, had been seen travelling around the surrounding estate at alleged speeds of eighty to a hundred miles an hour.

The teenagers in the vehicle lost control on a nearby roundabout, ploughed through the Robins fence and across their lawn, leaving skid marks and debris scattered in their wake.  The car continued into the house, bouncing into the front door and demolishing the downstairs toilet.

Mrs Robin came down to see the cause of the noise which had disturbed them and was horrified to see the car lodged where the downstairs toilet should have been.

Mrs Robin was left shocked by the incident and feared a fire could break out.  She stated that someone could easily have died if they had been inside the toilet at the time of the impact.

An eye witness to the crash, which happened at around 11pm on Saturday night, commented that the whole front of the house was wiped out.

The two people inside the car escaped without serious injury and were arrested by Thames Valley police in connection with the accident.

A structural engineer has been called out by authorities to assess the risk of removing the car from the house Oliffe Way, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

This latest incident follows a similar one earlier in the month and a neighbour of the Robins is campaigning to have the roundabout in question redesigned after an out of control vehicle hit his brand new car.
