Toyota are set to take on electric automaker Tesla and design their own brand of electric sports cars following the launch of their electric city car.
The Japanese company are taking notes from their gorgeous Toyota 2000GT EV conversion which had everyone in awe at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. A manual gearbox is likely to start making an appearance in hybrid sports cars in the next three years. Toyota is running an example of electric rare sports cars from the 1960s, which uses a manual gearbox.
