Car insurers Admiral are punishing drivers that attend speed awareness courses over fixed penalties with high premiums, according to a study by motoring organisation, the AA.
It was found that around a third of parents help with their children’s car insurance so it comes as no surprise that the EU gender ruling is troubling cash-strapped parents too. 6 out of 10 parents are worried about the rising premiums that will follow.

From 21st December an EU ruling will come into place meaning men and women will be equal in terms of car insurance, signalling huge increases for women drivers. A recent report revealed that men pay up to 41% more for their car insurance at the moment.
